About: This started when Nam read Vinh’s book & told him, “if this were a play, you’d want a whole scene where the statue of Ho Chi Minh in Saigon comes to life & complains to your character about the Chanel store across the street,” and Vinh replied “why don’t you do it?”

Adapted from the Governor General’s Award-nominated memoir, The Migrant Rain Falls in Reverse follows Vinh as he retraces his family’s migration from post-war Vietnam to Canada and tries to make sense of his father’s disappearance at sea.
