D&D SUMMER CAMP

At Driftwood, we love epic stories, and very few acts of creation are as spontaneously epic as playing Dungeons and Dragons. That’s why Driftwood Theatre has partnered with The Baxter Arts Centre in Bloomfield, Ontario for annual D&D Summer Camps for kids. Dungeons and Dragons is a table-top role playing game where players are the heroes of the story and work collaboratively to explore a fantasy world, solve mysteries, encounter creatures and characters, and have epic battles all within a supportive and playful environment.

Our camps are the perfect experience for creative, imaginative and adventurous kids, inviting them to join a table of like-minded adventurers to create a story together. Campers are guided along their adventures by Driftwood’s expert team of Dungeon Masters, who take on the role of every creature, character and challenge the players encounter.

Welcome to Camp Crystal Peak
Driftwood’s D&D Summer Camp adventures are set in Camp Crystal Peak, a fantasy-based world where their characters are young adventures honing their craft at a week-long summer camp. Drawing inspiration from 1980s film and pop-culture, Camp Crystal Peak is an original, exciting setting designed by creators Jeremy Smith and Pen Tsin.

Driftwood’s summer camps sell out every year. So what are you waiting for? Set your kid upon their next grand adventure today!

Registration for Driftwood Theatre’s D&D Summer Camps takes place annually in February. For more information, visit baxterartscentre.org.

“I loved Dungeons and Dragons camp at Baxter Art Centre.  Jeremy and Pen let me do a custom race in the Dungeons and Dragons campaign and that let me be a lot more creative in the game and more creative in solving problems.  I enjoyed it so much that now I am researching folklore and building my own campaign that I will do with my friends from my school D&D club.”

I wanted to share Emmylou’s achievement.  They have had so much fun playing D&D with Baxter (Arts Centre) and Jeremy that they wanted to share the joy of the game with us.  They created detailed character sheets for all 3 of us, and wrote a storyline to follow.  On Saturday afternoon they led us through our first adventure.  Thank you so much to Baxter and Jeremy for showing them this game and giving them a space to explore a fantasy world that brings them so much joy.
