About: As an immigrant actor, poet, maker, constantly crossing borders of language, borders of imagination – my grandmother’s Scarborough kitchen was pole-star, crossroads, gathering space: a constellation of food and stories. Having devised with NYC’s The Assembly, whose SEAGULLMACHINE merges Chekhov’s and Heiner Mueller’s riffs on Hamlet, and played in Buran Theatre’s meditation on Thomas Mann’s The Mountain – T.B. Sheets, I am thrilled to come home and devise The Onion Cellar with fellow Canadian story-makers.
