In case you don’t know me, here’s the scoop! I’ve been involved in new play development at Driftwood for the last three years. In 2020, I was part of the company’s final Trafalgar24 event (as the sleepiest dramaturg that ever lived); I’ve run two iterations of the Beyond the Bard Playwrights Unit; and I supported the inaugural Playwrights Around the House Program in 2023. Last summer, I was also the dramaturg on Jeremy and Steven’s Living with Shakespeare

My time as a dramaturg at Driftwood has always been in service of the company’s commitment to developing new Canadian work, and this will continue (and grow!) in my new role as a Metcalf Performing Arts Intern. I am thrilled to be joining Driftwood during this pivotal season so that I can contribute to the emergent processes that come of its new mandate, and learn about arts leadership and Artistic Direction from Jeremy.
