4:00 pm: The Heenan Blaikie Shakespeare Symposium Series:
"IS SHAKESPEARE REALLY FUNNY?"
The plays of William Shakespeare have captivated audiences around
the world for over 400 years. His enduring appeal has been credited
to his seemingly prophetic ability to see with alarming clarity into
the heart of the human condition. But certainly his plays must have
different meaning and emphasis for each subsequent culture and era
which explores them?

Join our panel of scholars and artists for our second Shakespearience
Festival discussion panel as we explore the significance of adapting
Shakespeare's plays (especially his comedies) for an ever-evolving
audience.

Panelists: Sue Miner (theatre director),
              Toby Malone (dramaturge, Driftwood Theatre).

7:30 pm: Driftwood Theatre presents The Comedy of Errors
The First Annual Shakespearience Festival is completed with Driftwood
Theatre's 'looney' spin on Shakespeare's most colourful comedy.

10:00 pm: Comedy Closing Night Reception
