Recently, The Driftwood Theatre Group completed a successful school tour of their 2005 Outdoor Summer Theatre production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield.

The production, starring original Driftwood cast members, Steven Burley, Christopher Darroch, and Peter Nicol visited schools between Oshawa and Georgetown introducing students to all of Shakespeare's 37 plays and 154 sonnets in under two hours.

Some comments from teachers and students:

"Thank you so much for your incredible performance yesterday at Trafalgar! The girls absolutely loved it."
Gillian Martin, Head of English, Trafalgar Castle School

"Congratulations to (Driftwood) and all of the actors for the fine performance here at Carruthers Creek.
Their creative, energetic and highly entertaining approach to the plays was truly surprising and impressive.
The level of energy and enthusiasm was outstanding. The audience could not help but be involved and
engaged in a positive way. Excellent Work!"
Larry Aiken, Principal, Carruthers Creek Public School

"I would completely recommend it to everybody except for infants and old people. Infants couldn't take it
and old people would have a heart attack from the shock."
Connor, Grade 8 student, Jack Miner Public School
